AI-Generated Property Video Disclosure Checklist

A practical checklist for labeling AI motion, reviewing property accuracy, preserving source records, and applying brokerage and platform rules.

Published September 22, 2026 · Reviewed September 22, 2026

Primary topic: AI real estate video disclosure. Product and policy details can change; confirm current terms before publishing a listing asset.

Disclose what the AI changed

A useful disclosure is specific enough to help a viewer understand the asset. For a Walkthrough export, that usually means stating that motion was AI-generated from listing photos.

Do not describe generated movement as filmed footage. If the workflow also changes furnishings, finishes, views, or time of day, those changes require separate review and disclosure.

Complete an accuracy review

The agent or property representative remains responsible for the accuracy of the marketing asset. A generated file should not bypass the normal listing review process.

  • Compare each scene side by side with its source photo.
  • Check windows, doors, walls, fixtures, appliances, and permanent features.
  • Reject motion that invents space or hides a material property detail.
  • Confirm the five-photo order does not imply a false physical connection.
  • Keep the approved source files and final export together.

Apply the rules for the destination

Brokerage, MLS, advertising, consumer-protection, and social-platform requirements vary by location and channel. Use the strictest applicable policy and obtain professional advice when the rules are unclear.

This checklist is operational guidance, not legal advice.

Questions

Where should the disclosure appear?+

Place it where viewers can reasonably see it, such as the video treatment, listing copy, caption, or all three when a platform or policy requires that coverage.
